We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.

We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, Nature Valley, Paco Rabanne, BA Cityflyer and a bunch of others.

We’re pretty good at what we do. We’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work.

This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion. Oh, but we’ve already won silver at the British Arrow Awards.

There’s about 50 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and do great work.

We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have

100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.

Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for an Account Director who wants to be part of, and help drive that growth.

The role:

We’re looking for an ambitious integrated Account Director who has some experience working on retail/shopper campaigns. You’ll be passionate about shopper marketing and ideally have experience working on beer or in the booze industry in previous roles. 

You will lead a portfolio of clients (or brands) and are responsible for driving the strategic and creative agenda for your clients. You have a knack at building strong and trustful relationships. 

You should be a strong voice in the room for all creative and strategic client meetings. Be confident in selling our full agency offering to drive growth of your accounts. You should take the time to understand your portfolio of client’s businesses and be able to hold conversations about all business matters pertaining to the marketing & comms work we do with senior clients. 

We expect you to be your clients ally and have strong and trusted relationships with senior clients across your entire portfolio. You should be seen as a partner to clients and be sought out and trusted for your opinions across their business. Be a positive collaborator. Although you work alongside a Project Manager, you will line manage either a Senior Account Manager or Account Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the faultless delivery of projects. 

You should be a dynamic leader & motivator for your team and internal departments, leading by example and set the standard for excellence. We want someone who can mentor, appraise and develop their team. Impero have developed a culture of continuous and informal feedback. 

The type of people we want to meet:

  • 3 years minimum in a role similar
  • Have a good foundation of integrated campaigns
  • Good initiative and a genuine love for building client relationships and managing campaigns.
  • Able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table.
  • The type of person who likes to create amazing work – rather than sit in a meeting talking about it.
  • A good team player invested in Impero’s growth and new business opportunities.
  • Pro-active and committed to developing own knowledge and skills.
  • Unafraid to roll up sleeves and muck in.
  • Organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines.
  • Is driven, motivated and has meticulous attention to detail.
  • Have a can do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit.

Transferable skills:
