Creative Artworker

Hello, we’re Impero.

We’re an independent, award-winning, creative agency for impatient brands. Our sole purpose is to make tired consumer brands famous again, and we do it, because one day it’ll make us world famous.

We work with high profile, global brands such as, ABI (BudLight, Corona, Stella etc), Pernod Ricard (The Glenlivet, Havana Club, Martell & Chivas, etc), Paco Rabanne, Unicef, Estee Lauder and more.

Right now, there’s about 45 of us (not including the dogs) – but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and pretty good at what we do. We’d love to meet people who want to be part of and help drive that growth.

This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion.

We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have 100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.

We gladly do things differently. We‘re super ambitious, brutally honest and always deliver.

We don’t really like the ‘Old Guard’ of advertising. This is an agency that uses passion, ingenuity, and an anything-is-possible attitude to deliver work across all kinds of platforms. It’s one of the reasons why working here is hell of a lot of fun. It’s a fantastic place to be a creative. Everything’s to play for.

Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for a Creative Artworker who wants to be part of, and help drive that growth.

The role:

At Impero, we work on a wide variety of projects, so you must be someone who is happy to step up to challenges. You must be adaptable and able to bring your own unique styles to our work.

A creative artworker’s main role is halfway between a designer and an artworker. You will have the opportunity to be creatively involved in visual design projects, but technical artworking will be the core part of your role.

We are looking for someone who is able to support the design team, and work closely with the wider team in creatives, strategy or accounts. You should, above anything else, be a team player — someone who is eager to design everything, whether it’s a branding job, a pitch deck or rolling out banner ads. We are looking for someone who is happy to execute all requests made of them with enthusiasm, speed and reliability, demonstrating great attention to detail, total trustworthiness and initiative.

Most importantly, you must have the same drive as the rest of our team to push Impero to continue to make award winning work. You must be talented, ambitious and driven.

You must have:

  • A thorough understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and Acrobat Pro are essential
  • Knowledges in print/digital artworking
  • Skills in photography, videography and web design are desirable
  • Experience working to tight timescales and deadlines
  • The ability to work as part of a team

Your goals for year one:

  • Deliver projects within deadlines 95% of the time
  • Deliver final art without mistakes 95% of the time
  • Receive 100% positive feedback in your 360 review on your file and folder organising.

The perks of working at The Mighty Impero include:

  • Being part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to.
  • Opportunity to Ops into our Health Insurance
  • Life assurance and Income Protection
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity policy
  • Hybrid working.
  • The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – not just be a cog in the machine.
  • Free snacks and coffee (when you’re in the office).
  • Regular breakfasts with the whole team (ditto)
  • Seasonal company parties.
  • Annual personal development plan and training budget for your own growth.
  • The love of seven rotating office dogs.
  • A ‘yes work’s important, but let’s not get too serious’ vibe.
  • A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
  • Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment.
  • Beer. Gin. Rum. Cognac. Whiskey. Snacks. (Working with our clients has added perks).

Final word:

This is an awesome place to work. We’re in control of our own destiny. But it means we’re the only ones that can deliver it. We’re all massively ambitious and hard working. But it’s also fun.

We all get along, there’s no politics, just heaps of passion. We’re the creative industry’s new guard. And it’s awesome.
