Lead / Senior Producer

Hello, we’re Impero

We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.

We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, Nature Valley, Paco Rabanne, BA Cityflyer and a bunch of others.

We’re pretty good at what we do. In 2018 we won five Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year. And, this year made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion.

There’s about 50 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and do great work. We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have 100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.

We gladly do things differently. We‘re super ambitious, brutally honest and always deliver.

We don’t really like the ‘Old Guard’ of advertising. This is an agency that uses passion, ingenuity, and an anything-is-possible attitude to deliver work across all kinds of platforms. It’s one of the reasons why working here is hell of a lot of fun… Everything’s to play for.

The role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and creative producer to work with us across our full client rosta. You will have a wide range of experience and be as happy delivering big budget TVCs and small content shoots. You can manage a project from script to screen, from ball parking and scheduling, Director and 3rd party supplier sourcing, through to overseeing the Pre Production, Shoot and Post Production up to delivery phase. Oh, and you’ll be great with clients, giving them confidence and a warm feeling of safety when they work with you.

You will also play a key role in helping the other members of the team find their way in moving picture, they’re all at different points in the journey and need a steady hand to help them.

A big slice of being a great producer is knowing your onions in project management. So you’ll be diligent, sharp eyed, approachable, have a strong sense of responsibility and this wouldn’t be a job description if it didn’t somewhere say “attention to detail”.

Here’s a dream bullet list, we know it’s a lot to ask from a single person so if you think you tick most but are missing a few, get in touch anyway!

  • Provide a POV on the feasibility of scripts prior to presentation to clients, with discussion about realistic costs and timeframes.
  • Ensure any broadcast or business affairs related tasks are also taken into account where necessary.
  • Input into how best to deliver the creative concept to the highest quality possible.
  • Have a POV on the latest production techniques.
  • Know the talent in the market – both established and emerging.
  • Enjoy that space just outside your comfort zone.
  • Build strong, trusted relationship with clients throughout the delivery of projects. Be a trusted individual in the delivery of projects, being consulted by the clients directly when necessary.
  • Excel at managing expectations and resolving project-related issues.
  • Take ownership of projects from conception to completion.
  • Managing assigned projects to time, to budget and expected quality (obvs!)
  • Ownership, creation, and updates of the statement of work, time plans and project budgets.
  • Ownership of the quality of deliverables.
  • Resourcing assigned projects in full.
  • Identifying and solving issues and mitigating risks across a projects lifecycle.
  • Add value in conversations around the creative product.
  • Can present and articulate creative work as required.
  • Build strong relationships with all disciplines, partners and clients.
  • Ensuring that all assigned projects have a clear brief.
  • Promote creativity and best practice within the business.
  • Proactively identify operational improvements.
  • Simplify working processes where possible.

The type of people we want to meet

You have good experience (3 to 5 years) of working within an agency environment as a producer, preferably working across content/advertising projects. You will be familiar with all aspects of production and have good client facing skills.

You are IT literate, with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task. You are a team player, who is committed to high-quality output and service and has the ability to find and implement creative solutions in a quick and professional manner.

You are commercially aware, and be familiar with regular agency business practices.

What else

We’re a nimble independent agency, so we have no time for politics or finger pointing, we fix stuff like the A-team does.

The perks of working at The Mighty Impero include

  • Being part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to.
  • Opportunity to opt into our Health Insurance
  • Life Assurance and Income Protection
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity policy
  • Hybrid working
  • The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – not just be a cog in the machine.
  • Free snacks and coffee (when you’re in the office).
  • Regular breakfasts with the whole team (ditto)
  • Seasonal company parties.
  • Annual personal development plan and training budget for your own growth.
  • The love of seven rotating office dogs.

  • A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
  • Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment.
  • Beer. Gin. Rum. Cognac. Whiskey. Snacks. (Working with our clients has added perks).

Final word

This is an awesome place to work. We’re in control of our own destiny. But it means we’re the only ones that can deliver it. We’re all massively ambitious and hard working. But it’s also fun.

We all get along, there’s no politics, just heaps of passion. We’re the creative industry’s new guard. And it’s awesome.
