We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.

We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Jameson, Corona, Budweiser, First Choice, Paco Rabanne, Great Ormond Street and a bunch of others. 

We’re pretty good at what we do. We won Campaign Magazine’s Independent Agency of the year in 2022 and have been nominated and shortlisted for many others. We also made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. 

This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion. 

There’s about 40 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and do great work.

We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have

We don’t really like the ‘Old Guard’ of advertising. This is an agency that uses passion, ingenuity, and an “anything-is-possible” attitude to deliver work across all kinds of platforms. It’s one of the reasons why working here is hell of a lot of fun.  Everything’s to play for.

Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for a Senior Creative who wants to be part of, and help drive that growth.

The role:

As a Conceptual Creative within the creative team, you will be an inspiring force for creative work across our shopper marketing client base, new business pitches and internal projects. 

This will include: 

  • Concepting creative ideas for BTL / shopper platforms, often inclusive of a central activation, promotional tactics, experiential, events, trade customer incentives
  • Concept development and art direction of campaigns across the full shopper journey in Off Trade, Ontrade and sometimes Global Travel Retail. Often this will be you creating the concepts, but can also be working with and guiding other creatives.
  • Visualising creative ideas and retail displays both with moodboards and scamps.
  • Art Direction, briefing and oversight of 2D and 3D designers for retail spaces and display design.
  • Managing rollout of large toolkits across the creative and design team
  • Leading creative on pitches and being able to present your work in a clear and engaging manner. 
  • Being creatively flexible, you can pick up some copy or work closely with a copywriter as part of a team. 
  • Eager to understand your client’s brand, marketing strategies and industry.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with existing clients and being able to promote Impero to prospective clients at new business opportunities/events. 
  • Working closely with other teams such as Strategy and Design to develop ideas.
  • Mentoring and assisting more junior members of the creative team.

You will have a hunger to create bold, award-winning ideas, create exceptional work for your clients and be part of our amazing team. More so than this, you will have a willingness to learn things outside your experience and pick up skills quickly.

You will be excited by the potential for compelling BTL activations and shopper marketing. And be motivated to build a team beneath you as this side of our business continues to grow.

Minimum 5-7 years experience working within a Creative role including retail eg Off Trade, On Trade and ideally (but not essential) Global Travel Retail.

  • Have knowledge of the FMCG Marketing world – ideally with drinks experience.
  • Ability to do initial/rough scamps for displays in order to brief design team.
  • Confident with Keynote – and of course your other creative tools.
  • A breadth of creative knowledge with the ability to produce useful visual references and predict creative trends. 
  • A team player who cares about the growth and development of the agency.
